Students will be allowed to bring in a favorite book for me to read to the class. They will also have a special bag to fill with a few special things to help the class get to know them better.  As an extra special treat the student will get to eat lunch with me on Friday of his/ her special week.

Take Home Folders: The students have a folder to make home/school communication easier. Please check these folders daily.

Homework- students will receive a weekly spelling packet consisting of one activity per night. This packet will be returned on Fridays. Students will have a weekly spelling test that coincides with the reading lessons. Spelling words will be posted on the website. In addition students will receive 2- 3 math homework assignments per week. Please have your child complete the homework and return to school the next day.

Attendance: If your child is going to be absent please call the main office. Please let me know if you would like to pick up your child’s make up work. I will send work home with a sibling whenever possible. The student will have one day for each day they were out to complete the work (ie: absent for 2 days, 2 days to finish work).

Lunch Envelopes: Lunch envelopes are sent home on Tuesday or Wednesday. Please return them in Friday for the following week. Lunch is $3 and includes milk. Milk alone is $ .50.
