Parking Lot and Playground Safety

Ensuring a safe environment for all students is a top priority at OLV.  Please be sure to follow the procedures in place for arrivals and dismissals.  Students should not be crossing the parking lot unescorted.  We deeply appreciate the volunteers who donate their time during drop-offs and lunch recess.  Adults and children alike are expected to follow the guidelines in place to promote a safe environment for all of our students.

Safe Environment Training and CORI Checks

ATTENTION ALL NEW OLV PARENTS/GUARDIANS:  All school volunteers must attend one Safe Environment class.  Please contact Liz Wondolowski, OLV/ St. Mary's Parish Safe Environment Coordinator, at (508) 278-0320 with any questions and for information regarding upcoming classes.

It is OLV's policy that all participating members of the school community, with the exception of current students, file a CORI form annually.  Families should have received the form as part of their Welcome packet.  Additional forms can be printed using the link on the Forms page.  Family members cannot participate as volunteers or chaperones without a completed form on file.

Bullying Policy

Every member of the OLV Community should be challenged to reach his or her potential, to develop a love of learning, and to thrive in an environment that fosters respect and understanding of one another.  It is essential that a safe, positive and productive educational environment be established where students can achieve the highest academic standards and where no student shall be subjected to bullying, cyber-bullying, or retaliation.  Bullying, cyber-bullying, retaliation, or other disruptive or violent behaviors constitute conduct that interferes with both a student's ability to learn and a school's ability to educate its students in a safe and embracing environment.  Pastors, principals, faculty, staff and volunteers are expected to demand that all students behave appropriately and treat others with civility and respect.  Bullying, cyber-bullying, and retaliation are NOT to be tolerated.
