Student Activities

National Junior Honor Society

OLV is proud to sponsor a chapter of the National Junior Honor Society.  Students in grades 6-8 who have maintained a high level of academic achievement (90% academic average minimum) over the previous four quarters are invited to apply for admission to NJHS.  Selection is based upon academics, community and school service, leadership, and character. NJHS sponsors and participates in many activities throughout the school year and works to build a strong home-school-community connection.

Nature’s Classroom and Washington, DC

Students in grade 6 are invited to spend a week together in April learning about the natural world around them and caring for God’s Creation.   Our 7th and 8th grade students are able to spend a week in the fall living our American history through a guided tour of Washington, DC. The Nature’s Classroom trip is annual; the trip to DC takes place alternating years.

Student Council

OLV has a thriving Student Council for students in the middle grades.  Student Council members sponsor various activities throughout the school year to promote a sense of community within the school building as well as with the greater community.
