The OLV Parents’ Guild is a membership automatically comprised of all OLV parents/guardians. We are a collective group of parents and guardians who works to support and enhance the educational ministry of the school. We support school staff and administration, and assist in efforts to solve school needs through volunteering and funding. The Guild is chaired by a team of Officers, who are elected by their peers.
Fundraising, parent education, and building a strong OLV community are all goals of the Guild. Our primary objective as a Guild is to provide our school with funds, programs, resources, and services that will enrich and maximize the education of every child and to benefit the school. To meet this important objective, we fundraise. A calendar of events and detailed list of various fundraising activities is available.
Parents’ positive participation in the life of the school sends a strong message to children about the family’s commitment to education and the community. Volunteers bring ideas, energy, and expertise that are an essential part of what will help make our school great!
There are many ways to get involved at OLV: assisting in the classroom, chaperoning field trips, serving as a Guild Officer or on various committees, helping chair or volunteer for fundraising events, coaching, lunch/recess helper and more!
The OLV Parents’ Guild meets on first Thursday evening of every month. At each meeting, important decisions are made on how we can support the school! We need your ideas, support and attendance. We also need volunteers to help with all of our activities! Please take a look at our calendar of events and detailed list to see what activities interest you and what volunteers are needed. Positions and tasks are available to fit lots of different schedules and interests, and many can be done from home after the kids are sleeping.
Please feel free to contact any of the Officers through the Parents’ Guild email at [email protected]
You can see a schedule of meetings and information on upcoming events on the Our Lady of the Valley calendar. Families will also receive email notifications of upcoming meetings.
The Guild sends email communications to parents about volunteer opportunities, school events and other important information. Please make sure you are on our list!
