Curriculum and instruction at Our Lady of the Valley is infused with technology across all grade levels. Direct instruction in the use of computer programs and tablet applications begins in PreK and is offered through Grade 4. Students in Grades 3-8 take advantage of a one to one Chromebook program that supports the traditional curriculum throughout the day and allows students to demonstrate their learning using a variety of tools. Our Lady of the Valley has a designated Maker Space that is well stocked with materials needed to promote creative problem solving and collaborative activities. All grades participate in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) focused activities as a part of the curriculum, with grades 5 and 6 participating in a weekly STEAM Lab and grades 7 and 8 engaging in STEAM activities three times weekly. Additionally, most of our Middle School Academy text books are online and can be accessed at school or at home on various devices.
